What the sources establish
The 8 October update announced Sewing Kits for revival and syringes for healing. It also announced held-item help text near a dead Critter. This remains an announcement-level reference here.
Developer update · 8 Oct 2026 ↗The steps below are our suggested planning workflow.
01 Identify the state before choosing an item
Ask whether the teammate can still move. Then identify the held item by its displayed name. Do not make the choice purely from the colour or silhouette of an object in an old video. If the game supplies a contextual prompt, read it before committing.
02 Give useful information to the helper
A useful request contains a location, the teammate’s state, and whether a relevant item is available. For example: ‘Down near the room entrance; I have no revival item.’ This is a communication template, not a promise that the location is safe.
03 When the interaction differs from a guide
Check the build and recording date first. Keep the item name and the exact on-screen prompt with a screenshot when reporting a problem. That gives the developer something reproducible to investigate, rather than assuming a failed interaction proves an item has no use.
04 Do not plan around invented numbers
The reviewed announcement does not give a healing amount, a revive duration, or an immunity window. Leave those fields unknown until there is specific evidence. A team plan that depends on a made-up safe window is worse than a plan that admits uncertainty.
Limits of this guide
No independent gameplay test or item-stat measurement is claimed. Beta recordings may show earlier item behaviour.
